Support For Kay

Many people will be aware that Kay recently suffered a dreadful tragedy when she lost her home and all of her possessions in a house fire.

We are extraordinarily grateful for the community and business support that has been shown to Kay and the Nelson Tasman Charitable Trust during this very difficult time.  As Kay begins the long journey to rebuild her life we would like to take the opportunity to thank the following people for their invaluable support:

WORKING WITH STOKE SCHOOL

Since term three of 2016 Kay has been working in association with Stoke School as a “social connector” helping to connect families with appropriate agencies.  After discussions with Pete Mitchener the Principal at the school it was apparent there was a real requirement for someone to be able to co-ordinate families with the numerous organisations offering assistance to people in need.

The Nelson Tasman Charitable Trust was pleased to be able to support Kay in working with the school and offering that assistance to the wider school community.  As well as assisting families to seek help from a variety of social agencies, Kay is a very hand’s on approachable person who can offer help with practical day to day needs.

If you have children at Stoke School and you would like to talk to Kay she is available at the school on a Tuesday Morning and a Thursday afternoon.
